DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION & TRAINING (RN)
LOCATION: CALIFORNIA
TYPE: ACUTE CARE HOSPITAL
We have an exceptional opportunity for a Director, Education and Training who will serve an essential role as a teacher, trainer, mentor, and role model for employees. You will combine your passion for teaching and clinical expertise with your outstanding leadership abilities to effectively oversee the educational requirements staff. You will also ensure appropriate systems are in place to meet Joint Commission and other regulatory agency standards. You regular responsibilities will include overseeing our New Employee Orientation process, assessing employee educational needs and incorporating findings in the Annual House-wide Plan for Learning. Additionally, you will help to guide and facilitate the success of the RN Residency Program and providing leadership, coaching and mentorship to unit-specific Nursing Educators.
To qualify for this unique opportunity, you must have:
- Prior experience as a Director of Education & Training (or equivalent related experience)
- Successful previous supervisory and leadership experience
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of our organization
- Masters degree in Education or other healthcare related field
- Current CA RN license
- A proven track record in meeting regulatory requirements
- Outstanding communication and coaching skills
- The desire to positively influence healthcare professionals in their careers
