MANAGER, MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS

The Manager, Marketing and Communication is responsible for developing and implementing internal and some external communication activities for the medical center in support of the medical center’s strategic goals and overall marketing and communication plan. Primary functions include developing and implementing hospital communication strategies, insuring well-written, timely production and management of internal publications, providing communications support for clinical service lines, hospital departments and administration, providing support on strategic marketing initiatives (including paid, social and earned media), providing support to the Executive Team as needed or requested (typically in the form of writing and/or assisting with presentations, speeches, etc.), and assisting with proactive or reactive media relations and situations on an as needed basis Previous management or supervisory experience, including that required by regulatory agencies. Previous demonstrated track record of favorable performance. Minimum of seven years’ marketing and/or communication experience. An understanding of managed care, hospital operations, and the health care environment a plus.Must hold a bachelor’s degree, preferably with an emphasis in journalism, public relations, English or other relevant course of study.
